We deliver a wide range of translation and interpretation services. With a team of professional translators, we can handle various texts including commercial, legal, academic, medical, scientific and technical texts.  We are translating websites and presentations, offers, business cards, advertising materials, corporate letters and agreements.

Our translators are specialists in various fields. Specialization is a guarantee of a well-performed translation process. We approach each project individually by making a careful analysis of your target market and customer requirements.

We provide translation services for Asian languages such as Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) Tagalog, Thai, Malay, Bahasa, Hindi, Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean.

Why should you translate your documents or website into Asian languages:

  • To ensure accurate communication between business counterparts who have different

language needs. For example, it is always easier for Chinese to understand your business in Chinese instead of in English.

  • To have a clear understanding of each other, gain trust and minimize misunderstanding.

This will also ease the decision making process.

  • In times of crisis or stress, a person's second language competency may decrease.
  • To promote and sell your products and services in effective way, while reaching large target group in Asia.

Besides translation, ConnectAsia offers simultaneous and consecutive interpretation services in Europe and Asia for conferences, training, trade fair, business meeting and various marketing events. Our professional interpreters provide a real window into the culture behind the language that is being translated, and play a vital role to overcome linguistic barrier between you and your Asian business counterparts.

Why Chinese is easier to learn than Polish?

According to research, Polish is the hardest language to learn in the world, Hungarian and Finnish come second. In other word, Chinese langauge is a lot more easier than Polish.

Chinese is easier to learn than you might think. Chinese grammar is simple in comparison with European languagesespecially Polish language. There are no inflections, cases, genders, or declensions. Foreigners always complain that Polish language has a complicated grammar (masculine and feminine genders, verb conjugations, etc), whereas Chinese has little or no bound morphology and there are no grammatical rules to memorize. Each word has a fixed and single form: verbs do not take prefixes or suffixes showing the tense or the person, number, or gender of the subject. Nouns do not take prefixes or suffixes showing their number or their case. Many people who begin to study Chinese quickly get "hooked" on it, because it is so interesting.

According to a survey conducted by the Chinese Ministry of Education and Language Commission you only need to know about 1,000 Chinese characters to be able to read 90% of current Chinese publications. Each Chinese character is pronounced as a single syllable. Learning to write Chinese characters is a rewarding and pleasing activity and it will give you a great sense of achievement.

Should I learn Mandarin or Cantonese?

  • Chinese refers to the language family, while Mandarin and Cantonese are dialects. The most widely spoken Chinese dialect is Mandarin (with about 850 million speakers), followed by Wu (90 million speakers), Min (70 million speakers) and Cantonese (70 million speakers).
  • Mandarin is the most popular Chinese dialect and is the official language in China, and Taiwan. It is also widely spoken in Southeast Asia, especially in Malaysia and Singapore. Mandarin is one of the six official languages in the United Nations.
  • Cantonese is spoken in Southern China and Hong Kong.

Is Chinese difficult to learn?

  • Learning Chinese as a foreign language can be easier than learning English. Chinese has no irregular verbs or noun plurals to be learned. Words only have a single form, with no suffixes for number, tense or case. Chinese is a tonal language with different pitch patterns, which do not just add emotional colour as in English. With the right learning methodology, as well as your commitment and interest, learning Chinese is just as easy as learning any other language.

Should I learn Simplified or Traditional Chinese?

  • We teach both, but it is highly recommended that foreigners learn simplified Chinese since it is easier and is widely used in China and other countries.

Can I speak Chinese in 3 months?

  • You should be able to speak and write some Chinese with your commitment and interest in learning the language. Most students are able to speak basic Chinese after taking classes for one month.

Do you teach Chinese in English?

  • Yes, you need to understand basic English to learn Chinese. This will be the most ideal methodology to teach and learn Chinese. However, you do not need to speak and write fluent English to learn Chinese. Materials can be translated to Polish. Our Polish students tell us that they can learn English at the same time as learning Chinese

I will visit China in a few weeks time, is it too late to learn Chinese now?

  • It is not too late; private lessons can be conducted. We shall assess your needs and provide the best study plan to fit your requirements. We offer “Chinese for Travellers” or “Chinese for Business” lessons which will teach you approximately 100-150 words of spoken Mandarin. These lessons use our accelerated learning technique and are very effective.

We deal with Chinese customers, clients and suppliers; do you think we should join the class?

  • Yes, you should join the class or contact us for corporate training. The workshop we provide gives a better view about your business counterparts in areas that you may wish to improve and understand which will benefit you and your employees in the company.

Should I learn Chinese with self-study materials or computer-based systems?

  • Research shows that it is harder to learn Chinese by yourself, but if the learning centre is far from where you live, you have no choice but to pursue self-study. Joining a class has a number of advantages; it provides a better learning environment where you can interact with the teacher and fellow students, you also get instant answers to all your questions and you enjoy professional learning support from a qualified teacher and native speaker to gauge your learning progress.
